June in Review

Since I was on vacation from mid-May to early-June, I had much to catch up on. So, June was just me trying to play catch up on everything, as well as starting many new and interesting dramas. Now that I'm off from school, I have a lot more time to watch more dramas. But I must say that the dramas coming out now are a lot more interesting than when I was still in school.

Show Me The Money 5 Half-way Review

I planned to do a full review, but there is a lot to talk about and I probably won't be able to fit everything in one whole post. I'm no expert on rapping, but I love watching Show Me The Money because it's entertaining, mainly because of the producers. But all in all, I just find it really fascinating because I can't rap or sing myself. Thus, I don't think I'm in any position to criticize any rappers on the show because I can't do any better.

Entertainer Review

As you all know, this drama was not to my liking when it first came out. I heard that it was supposed to be really good, but I felt disappointed after the first episode because it didn't meet my expectations. Even the teasers seemed like it was a fun drama, but it wasn't the case in reality. The set up plot isn't laughing matter either. I'm not sure why they advertised this as a comedy because I cried more than I laughed. But, the plot did get better over time and I enjoyed it. I've said before that I felt like the drama was really slow and I actually dreaded when news came out that Entertainer was going to have a 2 episode extension because extensions means that they would just drag on the plot. So yes, I do think that the drama could have ended nicely at episode 16, but I thought the extension made the drama quite likeable and gave a solid ending, closing up loose ties, though there were many scenes that seemed unnecessary and were just fillers for the full hour.

Younha, Bada, Loco x Gray & More

Oops, I promised that things would be back on schedule, but I guess not; I've been too busy meeting with friends and updating my other blog.

Younha - Get it?
I'm so used to Younha singing ballads that this is such a new genre for me.

Loco x Gray - Good
After watching the SNL Korea with AOMG (if you watch, definitely watch the one with Jay Park as well), I can't even look at them the same way.

The Downfall of the 2nd Generation

After the recent news of 4Minute disbanding, I realized that this isn't the start or the end. Earlier this year/last year, 2AM and Kara disbanded. A handful of artists decided to leave their respective groups - Sulli, Jessica, Minzy, Hyunseung, just to name a few. I'm expecting more to come.

June 12 - June 18: Songs of the Week

And I'm back! This week is male soloists!

1) Eric Nam - Heaven's Door
Eric Nam is known for being an MC, but I can't believe people didn't know he also sings. Maybe it's because I knew him as a singer, and then he started doing a lot of variety shows afterwards. I love Eric Nam's personality and how well he gets along with everyone, especially Amber and Ailee. They're adorable together. And he's also doing We Got Married, so maybe I'll watch that too, but I really can't imagine him on We Got Married.

Song Releases Update

I'm slowly trying to catch up with songs that I missed out while I was gone. My watch later playlist was actually 40 songs long, so this will be a very long post, but no worries, it will go back to the normal schedule next week. There's been some pretty good releases while I was gone. And again, I was pretty frustrated because while I listening to the new songs, I picked out some songs that I liked. However, while I was writing the post, the post deleted by itself and I was not lucky enough this time to revive the post.

May in Review

Well, I'm back! If you're curious about my adventures, you can read about them here. I do have a lot to catch up on, so my apologies for being so slow. On a side note, I'm really frustrated because I already had finished writing this post when it completely disappeared. But luckily, I was able to revive my post through the app on my phone.
